The 8 Permissions Listed for Version 23.1
| Permission | What it is used for |
|---|---|
| Internet | Connecting to the game servers |
| Network state | Telling Wi-Fi from mobile data and spotting a dropped connection |
| Notifications | Showing alerts on your phone |
| Push messages | Receiving those alerts from the operator |
| Vibrate | Feedback when a round ends |
| Keep screen awake | Stopping the display sleeping mid-round |
| Background jobs | Finishing an interrupted download |
| Advertising ID | Crediting an install to the page that referred you |
You can compare this list with what your phone shows under Settings, Apps, Jaiho Arcade, Permissions. If you have not installed it yet, start from the jaiho arcade original apk page.
What the App Does Not Ask For
The original build does not request access to:
- Storage, so it cannot read your photos or documents
- Contacts
- Location
- Camera or microphone
- SMS or call logs
- Phone state, so it cannot read your number or IMEI
If the file you installed asks for any of these, uninstall it. Modified APKs often add SMS access so they can read OTPs, which is how accounts and UPI-linked details get stolen. Read mod APK vs original APK for more.
Which Permissions You Can Turn Off
Notifications are optional. You can switch them off in Android settings and the games still work. The advertising ID can be reset or limited under your phone's privacy or Google settings. The network permissions are needed for the app to work at all, since every game runs online.
What You Grant Outside the App
During installation Android also asks you to allow your browser to install unknown apps. That permission belongs to the browser, not to Jaiho Arcade. Switch it off again once the install is done; leaving it on is a bigger risk than anything on the list above.
